Terralift - a unique and trusted solution

The system works by inserting a one metre hollow probe into the soil through which a dried nutrient rich seaweed kelp is injected by high pressure compressed air.

The blast creates a network of lateral and vertical fissures throughout the soil profile and the kelp expands eightfold when moist, keeping fissures open and increasing water storage capacity of the root zone.

The probe holes are filled with a 6mm aggregate providing permanent aeration and drainage.

While helping prevent waterlogging, this promotes healthy root growth.

All Terrain Terralift

Toughest terrains can be treated using our powerful 4-wheel drive All terrain Terralift. A state-of-the-art machine unique to Soilcare, it can be safely operated on waterlogged areas, with minimal surface damage to fine turf. In-built telescopic boom enables this versatile machine to be used in inaccessible areas.

Remote Terralift

Small areas or places inaccessible to larger machinery, such as gardens, can be effectively treated using our Remote Terralift machine. Seen here at work in a garden at a major new development near Bristol, where repeated use of heavy machinery in a confined space had led to soil compaction, making it difficult to establish turf, shrubs and trees

Terralift 2000

To treat larger areas, such as sports pitches and flat amenity terrains, the Terralift 2000 offers maximum efficiency. Seen here at a primary school in Hampshire, which had a history of severe waterlogging, but are now used all year-round thanks to our cost effective soil aeration technique.
